So we asked her a few questions about her fabulous new label and what makes her tick, so you can decide if it's right for you.
Everyone loves a story. What's yours Sarah? How did CAPE CAPRI come about?
"CAPE CAPRI came about from a love of travel and endless summers. I was looking for the ultimate summer travel accessory to throw on. Whether it was for walks along the beach, feeling confident poolside or even to dress up a summer night's outfit, I wanted to create a soft luxe fabric cape to ensure effortless summer style."
Why does CAPE CAPRI exist? Why is it here?
I want all of CAPE CAPRI customers to throw on a cape and feel confident and brave in the skin they are in. Every woman deserves to feel like a goddess no matter the age, size, colour or style - I am all for the Body Positive Movement! Our Capes and Kimonos with their cool, stylish and versatile properties allow our customers to transition from the pool to the bar with effortless elegance.
We all draw our inspiration from all sorts of places and people. Where do you draw yours from?
As a water baby I was inspired by the sand, the sea and all things in between. I wanted CAPE CAPRI to give the feeling you get from having the sand in your feet, the sound of the wind in the palms as you lay by the pool, or the sense of weightlessness you get diving into crystal clear water. On the other hand I am inspired by my tribe of beautiful, fearless women. I am always learning and listening to these special ladies. Their individuality recharges and inspires me. Without fail they have such a large impact on me and my life and I am so grateful for these relationships.
What do you hope for your label?
I want my label to be an inclusive label, one that does not discriminate. A label for all shapes, sizes, ages and colours. CAPE CAPRI is designed for ALL women in every stage of their lives. I hope CAPE CAPRI becomes a wardrobe staple and brand that customers love, trust and believe in.
Tell us about this season's Capes and Kimono's and what we can expect into the future.
CAPE CAPRI Capes and Kimonos are sophisticated and effortless pieces. My vision for the range is for it to be worn day/night, beach/bar, pool or spa with elegance. Our Capes and Kimonos are a piece that compliments your swimwear or even jeans and a tee, they should Dress Up the ordinary!! We are really excited about the next year! We aim to expand our range with some key statement pieces that evolve from our Cape heartland. With every footprint in the sand you can be sure CAPE CAPRI is creating unique pieces to allow more woman to feel strong and confident in the skin they are in!
