Big Bust Swimwear

If you have a big bust, it can be hard to find swimwear that's not too revealing, but also doesn't leave you feeling frumpy. We've spent the past 12 years fitting swimwear to women of all shapes and sizes, so we know the most flattering neckline for big busted ladies is always a V neckline, sweetheart neckline, or a mid/low scoop, whether you're shopping swimwear or resortwear.

When it comes to choosing swimwear to suit a big bust, there are 4 key elements to look for to give you maximum bust support.

• A higher back, because that means a higher fit under the arms for better side-boob coverage and support too
• Good cup dept (top to bottom) to hold the girls in place
• Wide straps to carry the load and maximise comfort - fully adjustable is best for a custom fit
• A strong shelf bra with wide, sturdy under-bust elastic; underwire is optional

Many women automatically look for underwires - and they do offer great support - but don't discount the support of firm, tough under-bust elastic. Remember, these cossies are made with you in mind! Side boning will also help, as will wide straps that are adjustable so you can tighten for extra firmness. Swimsuits with removable straps (so that you can do a crossover back) will give an extra ½ size support.

Deeper cup cuts (top to bottom) will give you the best coverage, as will clever gathered cup styles where a bust can simply fill the cup without you having to go up a size. Genius! If coverage and support is what you are after, leave the triangle bikinis for the smaller boob crowd. You can look equally as fabulous and fashionable in a style made for you with all the support you need.
